There was Snowfall in Chicago Saturday night! Before you panic, there wasn’t actual “snow” falling here, but the hit television series, Snowfall on FX was.
Chicago natives George Daniels, McKinley Nelson and Kenny Doss II were among many who came out to show their love & support as Snowfall cast members: Damson Idris, Angela Lewis, Michael Hyatt, Amin Joseph and Isaiah John walked the red carpet along with producer, Dave Andron and writer, Walter Mosley at the ShowPlace Icon Theatre!
After taking photos and doing interviews, everyone walked inside the movie theatre to watch Episode 1 of Season 3, which isn’t scheduled to air until July 10th on FX. Without giving out any spoilers, I’ll just say this much about Episode 1, you’re going to be surprise, be on the edge of your seat and excited to see more.
Once the show ended, WGCI’S very own, Kendra G. introduced the cast as they made their way to the front for the Q&A segment of the screening. The cast answered just about every question asked and also gave the audience a little history about themselves. It was very interesting to hear what Isaiah’s previous work experience consist of and with Damson not being from LA, how he managed to dialect the language & culture. The cast was even given the opportunity to discuss the impact & relationship they each had with the late, John Singleton. When asked if there was a specific time-frame left for Snowfall, Dave informed the audience that there wasn’t a specific time-frame left of the show!
After answering many of the audience questions, the cast asked the audience questions about the show and if answered correctly, that audience member received a pretty amazing prize which consist of official Snowfall merchandise. One lucky audience member even won a John Singleton DVD Collection.
